Privacy Policy

Last updated July 15, 2026

This page is maintained by CreditReady Bookkeeping to explain what information we collect when you use the free financial tools on this site, how we use it, and how long we keep it. It focuses on the results gate — the short form you fill in to unlock your tool results — and other information you voluntarily send us.

1. Who we are

CreditReady Bookkeeping (“CreditReady”, “we”, “us”) operates creditreadybooks.com and provides bookkeeping services and free self-serve financial tools to small business owners. For any privacy question, contact us at info@creditreadybooks.com.

2. What the results gate collects

You can use every calculator and tool on the /tools pages without signing up. When you click “Show My Results”, we ask for a small amount of information before displaying the calculated output:

  • Your name — so we can address any follow-up email to you personally.
  • Your email address — so we can send you a copy of your results and, if you opt in, occasional related follow-up emails.
  • Your explicit consent — you must check the consent box before results are unlocked. We record whether you consented and the timestamp of that consent.
  • Which tool you used — the tool identifier (for example “break-even-calculator”), so we know which results to send you and can improve the most-used tools.
  • Submission timestamp — the date and time you submitted the gate form.

We do not collect the numbers you type into the tool itself. Tool inputs (revenue, expenses, loan amounts, and similar figures) stay in your browser and are never sent to our servers or stored in our database.

3. Other information we collect

  • Contact form submissions. If you use a contact form on the site, we store the name, email, phone (if provided), business name (if provided), and the message you send us, so we can respond.
  • Local browser storage. After you unlock a tool, we set a small flag in your browser’s localStorage (for example crb.tool-unlock.break-even-calculator) so you don’t have to re-enter your email each time you return. Clearing your browser data removes this flag.
  • Server and email logs. Our hosting and email infrastructure record standard operational data such as request timestamps, delivery status, and bounce or complaint events. This is used to keep the service running and to protect the reputation of our sending domain.

We do not ask for or collect Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, payment card numbers, or tax identification numbers through the results gate or contact forms. Please don’t send sensitive financial identifiers by email or web form.

4. How we use the information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Unlock and display the tool results you requested.
  • Send a copy of your results and, only if you consented, occasional follow-up emails related to the tool you used or our bookkeeping services.
  • Respond to inquiries you send through contact forms or by email.
  • Understand which tools are most useful so we can improve them and build new ones.
  • Detect and prevent abuse of the forms (for example, blocking addresses that generate hard bounces or spam complaints).

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

5. Service providers

To deliver the site and send email, we rely on a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Hosting and database. Our website and the leads database that stores your results-gate submissions are hosted on managed cloud infrastructure.
  • Email delivery. Transactional emails (such as a copy of your results or a notification to our team) are sent through a managed email provider.

These providers only process your information to provide their service to us and are contractually required to protect it.

6. How long we keep it

  • Results-gate submissions (name, email, consent, tool, timestamp) are retained for up to 24 months from the date of submission, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or you unsubscribe (see below).
  • Contact form messages are retained for up to 24 months from the date of the last exchange, so we have context on prior conversations.
  • Unsubscribe records (the fact that an email address has opted out) are kept indefinitely so we can honor the opt-out on future sends.
  • Email delivery logs are kept for up to 12 months for deliverability and troubleshooting.
  • Local browser storage stays on your device until you clear it.

7. Your choices

  • Use the tools without submitting. Every calculator works fully in your browser. You only need to submit the gate if you want the results view or a copy by email.
  • Unsubscribe at any time. Every follow-up email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also visit /email/manage using the token in an email we sent you.
  • Access or delete your data. Email info@creditreadybooks.com from the address you submitted and ask us to send you a copy of what we hold or to delete it. We will confirm and act on the request within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Clear local browser data. Clearing site data in your browser removes any unlock flags we set.

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect the information you send us in transit and at rest, including HTTPS across the site, access controls on the leads database, and least-privilege access for our team. No online service can be guaranteed 100% secure — please avoid sending sensitive financial identifiers through web forms or unencrypted email.

9. Children

The tools and site are intended for business owners and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, highlight the change on the site. Continued use of the tools after an update means you accept the revised policy.
